How to Make Cinnamon Tea at Home

Cinnamon Tea: Cinnamon tea is an herbal tea prepared by suffuse cinnamon bark in water.

Ingredients: - 1 Ceylon cinnamon stick 8 ounces water 1 teaspoon of honey Few drops of lemon juice

Procedure:- In a saucepan, add cinnamon sticks and water. Bring it to a boil and then simmer it for 15 minutes.

Remove the cinnamon sticks and strain the tea into a cup. You may add little honey and a few drops of lemon juice to enhance the flavor. Serve it warm. 

Note: - Just take about 1 cup per day and rest on the weekend. Consuming too much cinnamon tea can damage the liver and may cause low blood sugar levels. 

Species of cinnamon (such as the Cinnamomum cassia plant) contain coumarin, a natural substance that is known to be hepatotoxic and carcinogenic in large amounts.

 To avoid coumarin, opt for Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum).
