Almond Orange Financier By Martha Stewart
Ingredients:
1 cup almonds, toasted
3/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 2/3 cups
confectioners' sugar + more for dusting
Zest of 1 orange, finely grated
1/4 tsp salt
6 large egg whites
Candied orange peel for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Butter a tart pan, place in freezer.
3. Pulse almonds until finely ground in a food processor.
4. In a bowl, add ground almonds, flour, confectioners' sugar, orange zest and salt.
5. Whisk everything to combine well.
6. Add in butter, stir well.
7. Take out tart pan from freezer and add batter into it.
8. Bake it for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to 400 degrees and bake it for 7-8 minutes more.
9. Take out from oven, let it cool.
10. Slice financer into 6 pieces.
11. Garnish it with candied orange peel, dust with confectioners' sugar.
12. Serve.
