Ingredients:
6 slices bread
4 tbsp unsalted butter
6 eggs
1 q1/2 cups heavy cream or milk
A pinch of salt
A pinch of nutmeg, freshly ground
2 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
4 tbsp vegetable oil
Maple syrup for serving
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, whisk together cream, eggs, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt, keep aside.
2. In a shallow baking dish, place bread.
3. Add egg mixture over bread.
4. Let it soak for 10 minutes.
5. Flip bread slices, soak it for another 10 minutes.
6. Heat oven to 250 degrees.
7. Place a skillet over medium heat.
8. Add butter and oil.
9. Fry bread slices for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
10. Transfer bread slices to wire rack and place in oven to keep it warm.
11. Drizzle maple syrup and serve warm.
