Chocolate Bundt Cake By Martha Stewart
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 sticks unsalted butter + more for pan
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 cocoa powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For Glaze:
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 ounce bittersweet chocolate, chopped
2 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Butter a bundt pan
3. Whisk flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
4. In a measuring cup combine milk and sour cream.
5. Beat sugar and butter until fluffy and pale.
6. Add eggs, beat well.
7. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
8. Add dry mixture and milk mixture to butter mixture.
9. Transfer cake batter to prepared cake pan.
10. Bake it for about 55 minutes.
11. Place cake pan to wire rack to cool.
12. Add chocolate to a heatproof bowl.
13. In a saucepan add cream, simmer.
14. Add it to chocolate.
15. Let it stand for 1-2 minutes.
16. Add butter, stir well.
17. Cook it until the mixture slightly thickened.
18. Pour this glaze over cake.
