Hazelnut Cookies by Martha Stewart

Hazelnut cookies are delicious, chewy, and soft. These cookies can be prepared with just about 5 ingredients.

Ingredients: -  1/2 cup of blanched hazelnuts 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter 1/2 cup of sugar 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon of coarse salt

Procedure: - 1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Put the hazelnuts on baking sheets and toast them for about 15 minutes or until crisp. Then, take it out from the oven and cool it. Pulse it for a few seconds so that it turns into a coarse powder.

2. In an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Now add flour, ground hazelnuts, and salt. Beat until dough forms.

You may add a few drops of water which will help in the formation of dough. This dough can be wrapped in a plastic bag and refrigerated for a day.

3. Roll the dough into small balls. Press the top of the balls and make marks on them with a fork. 4. Bake these cookies until the edges are golden brown or for about 15 minutes.

5. After they are baked well, transfer the cookies to a wire rack and cool it completely. 6. The cookies are ready to consume now. You can also store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days.
