How to Make Creamy Grits at Home
Ingredients:
1 cup grits
2 tbsp butter
2 cups milk
3 cups water
Instructions:
1. In sauce pan add milk and water, bring it to boil.
2. Add salt and mix well.
3. Whisk in grits, bring to boil again.
4. Whisk continuously for 2 minutes or until grits thicken slightly.
5. Partially cover the sauce pan and cook on low heat.
6. Cook it for about 30 minutes or until grits are tender and thickened.
7. You can add more milk if required.
8. Grits should be creamy and should be swirl easily.
9. Stir in butter.
10. Season it generously with salt.
11. Turn off the heat, cover it until serve.
12. If you want to keep it longer then drizzle some milk over it before covering.
13. Grits can be reheat over low heat, add some milk if required.
