Martha Stewart's Vanilla Pound Cake From Scratch
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour + more for pan
1 cup unsalted butter
4 large eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease and flour a loaf pan, keep aside.
3. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer.
4. Add eggs (one egg at a time) and beat well
5. Add vanilla and salt, mix well.
6. Slowly add flour, combine well.
7. Bake it for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted and comes out clean.
8. Let it cool in pan for 10 minutes.
9. Transfer to a cooling rack to cool it completely
10. Cut into slices and serve.
