Ingredients:-
• One 1-pound boneless beef top round steak
• 1/2 medium onion(chopped)
• 1 tablespoon of safflower oil
• 1 tablespoon of coarse salt
• 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
• Two 8-inch-long hero rolls
• 4 slices of provolone cheese
• 1 cup of Creamy Cheese Sauce
• Giardiniera for garnish
Procedure:-
1. To make the beef firm, freeze it for about half an hour.
2. Preheat the double-burner griddle and thinly slice the meat against the grain.
3. In a bowl, add onions and oil. Toss them and then put them on the griddle.
4. Cook the onions for some minutes till they turn translucent.
5. Put the slice of beef on the griddle, and season it with some salt and pepper. Turn it and cook it properly.
6. Add onions on top of beef.
7. Chop the beef into bite-size pieces.
8. Divide the beef and onions between the hoagie rolls.
9. Garnish it with provolone, cheese sauce, and giardiniera.
