Martha Stewart's Spiced Lemon Cake Recipe

Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 stick unsalted butter + more for pan 1/4 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder

3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/2 tsp salt 3/4 tsp ground cardamom 1 tbsp lemon zest, finely grated

6 tbsp fresh lemon juice 2 large eggs 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions: 1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Grease and dust a round cake pan. 3. Sift together, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

4. Cream together, butter, granulated sugar, cardamom and zest until fluffy and pale. 5. Add eggs and beat well.

6. Beat in lemon juice. 7. Whisk in flour mixture in 3 batches alternating with sour cream..

8. Pour cake batter to cake pan. 9. Bake it for 30 minutes. 10.Remove from oven and keep aside to cool completely.

11. Whisk 3 tbsp lemon juice and confectioners' sugar until smooth. 12. Pour this mixture over cooled cake and serve.
